LUCO is a construction consulting company that strives to deliver high quality and make a difference both for customers and for the world, today we are going to dive into their journey to ISO certification according to ISO 9001 and 14001.
âFor us, it was an obvious choice because we value order, structure and quality in everything we do. Certification is not just a stamp, but part of our identity and work culture.â /Meysam, CEO of LUCO.
With this in mind, LUCO decided to go for ISO certification, despite initially considering lighter systems such as the FR 2000.
For LUCO, the decision to move towards ISO certification was about formally reaffirming the high standard they were already striving for internally.
âI thought: I'm doing all these things already. Why shouldn't I get a stamp on it?â says Meysam.
Thus, the structure provided by the standards and to some extent the certification itself were seen both as a way to make life easier for the company and to showcase a serious and structured business to the outside world.
Using AmpliFlow's web tools and expertise, LUCO was able to systematize its work and ensure that they met all the requirements of the ISO standards. Joakim Stenström from AmpliFlow played a key role as a consultant during the process.
But working with AmpliFlow was about more than just technology and consulting â it was a partnership built on understanding and shared goals.
âThat's why I found AmpliFlow interesting as a partner for us, we were helped not only with the certification, but also to digitize and streamline,â says Meysam about the collaboration.
Patrik Björklund, CEO of AmpliFlow, stresses the importance of a structured process:
âWe help companies understand and implement the necessary steps for certification in a way that really makes a difference, not just becomes a paper tiger.â
By using AmpliFlow tools, LUCO was able to streamline its processes and reduce administrative burden. This was especially important to them, as they wanted to ensure that their internal systems worked smoothly and efficiently.
âThe biggest value of certification is really the structure of employees and how we can manage our 'internal headache',â explains Meysam.
With the certification and increased digitisation in place, LUCO was not only able to ensure quality and structure, but had also gained a platform for long-term development they can build on well into the future.
Establishing a platform that covers all aspects of business management involved a number of things that Meysam hadn't really counted on from the start.
For example, a critical part of meeting the requirements of standards is to work systematically with risks in the daily work of the company. This helps to create a more proactive and strategic corporate culture.
âRisk analysis... today I can feel this way. No matter how important it is, the fact that we didn't start from it earlier is absolutely crazy.â says Meysam.
Another (among many) tangible advantage for LUCO was the ability to structure the onboarding process for new employees. Instead of starting from scratch, they were able to use the tools that AmpliFlow helped implement to give new employees a clear and structured introduction to the company.
âSo I get rid of most of what was a hassle with our onboarding. It is now sort of. Have a cup of coffee. Get behind the computer, read, done.â says Meysam.
After making it through the certification journey with AmpliFlow and being certified for a couple of years, Meysam is now reflecting on his lessons learned and future goals.
Although the initial business benefits were not immediately apparent, Meysam sees a long-term investment in the company's future.
âStructure, management and strategy are an investment, a long-term investment. The certification itself is not as important as this, and having AmpliFlow tools in place is gold for usâ he says, stressing the importance of persistence and continuity.
A common reason to move towards certification is to create an advantage in procurement. But has the certification given LUCO any advantage in procurement?
âNo, we still see that price is often decisive. Although the certificate saves time on submission, it rarely gives us a competitive advantageâ, Meysam replies.
LUCO sees ISO certification as part of a long-term strategy for stability and growth. By having a certified platform in place, they can continue to build and develop their internal processes, which in turn creates a stronger and more sustainable business.
âI have an incredibly stable platform to stand on now that I'm proud of,â says Meysam.
LUCO's future plans include continuing to use AmpliFlow's systems to maintain its certification and improve its internal processes. They look forward to exploring new opportunities to develop their business further, with a stable and certified platform as a foundation.
âWe need to believe in our model and we need to have perseverance.â says Meysam.
We are convinced that it is worth the investment. Not to win more contracts, but to improve our internal processes, improve the quality of our deliveries, create a better working environment and contribute to sustainable social development. â
Our employees can take pride in being part of a business that puts quality and sustainability in focus. We hope to attract more people who share our vision of creating value and not just achieving short-term gains
We wish and hope that customers and the industry will value companies that invest time, resources and commitment to ensure quality and sustainability in deliveries and look past the price tag.
Prioritizing serious actors who work systematically is sustainable. â
Let's build a sustainable and quality-driven society together!
By investing in structure and digitization, LUCO has not only achieved certification, but also laid the foundation for future success.
With AmpliFlow as a partner, they have been able to navigate complex challenges and create a stable platform for continued development and growth.
We thank you for the trust and look forward to following LUCO's success well into the future!
