Goal management

Setting goals and directing towards them is an art form that requires precision, understanding and adaptation.

Goals = Change

Goal management is about navigating change. While KPIs reflect continuity and daily operations, goals represent a drive towards development and improvement. Goals are the driving force behind strategic change and innovation.

Objectives and their metrics

Within AmpliFlow, targets and its metrics are two sides of the same coin. The goals define what we strive for, while the metrics give us concrete numbers to track our progress over time towards the goals. It is important that the metrics are balanced and take into account several aspects of the business to avoid compromising on quality. A goal of “increase turnover by 10%" will drive different behaviors within the organization than if we have a goal of both “increase turnover by 10%" and “maintain a margin of 40%" as metrics for goal fulfillment.

Impact on KPIs

By achieving our goals, we can significantly impact our KPIs. Changes driven by targets can lead to improved performance across different areas of the business, which in turn is reflected in our KPIs. KPIs are indicators that show how “business as usual” is going - targets are what we use to change our KPIs.

Deviations and suggestions for improvement - The building blocks of the goal

Deviations, risk observations and suggestions for improvement are essential to identify opportunities for change and the development of new goals. These insights are catalysts for revising and evolving our processes and working methods.

From observation to action

Every observation of an aberration or risk is a chance to sharpen our goals and improve our processes. By acting on these insights, we can ensure that we not only meet but also exceed our customers' expectations.

Proposals for improvement as the goal of the future

When we truly welcome suggestions for improvement from our employees, we create a culture of continuous improvement where each proposal can become a new goal (or change existing goals) that drives our business forward. This process is the foundation for innovation and development within AmpliFlow.

Summary

Goal management is more than just setting goals; it's a way to drive change and positively impact KPIs. At AmpliFlow, we understand the subtle dynamics between goals, metrics, and KPIs. We see deviations and suggestions for improvement as catalysts for goals.
